Christianity Is At The Core Of Our Education

Illiana Christian High School’s heritage stands on the foundation of uniting spiritual and academic educations. Since before the first class of 90 students walked our hallways in 1945, it was evident that our region was in need of a Christian approach to education. In order to help facilitate the commitment of parents and guardians to provide their children with a Christian worldview education, Iliana’s campus and staff have grown to meet the needs of a growing student body.

As we embrace today and look toward the future, Illiana is honored to have a diverse student body, a rigorous academic program, and an expert and professional teaching staff. We give parents a special place to send their children to grow and develop academically, socially and spiritually, during some of their most impressionable years.

What Makes Our Education Exceptional

Our strong history carries on today as the base of our educational offerings. While we have added technology and update our lessons driven by the culture of today’s society, we always center our teachings on the Bible.

As a parent, you will be happy to know that:

  • We follow a Reformed Christian perspective as a co-educational, private school.
  • We guide all areas of our campus with a Christian view of life, including in the classroom.
  • Our teachers are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree and be state-certified; most have Master’s degrees.
  • Our ratio of pupil to professional is 12 to 1.
  • Our average class size is 19.
  • We have a broad curriculum that offers the highest standard of learning in 110 different course options.
  • Our Advanced Placement and dual-credit classes offer a challenge to our students.
  • We serve all Christian families, including those with children who are either college-bound, heading toward vocational training, or going directly into the workforce, as well as those with special needs.

How We Go Above And Beyond

We always believe that families should not feel they have to separate their faith from their child’s education. Our curriculum is accredited by the state and aligns with the Reformed Christian Church principles. We strongly feel that our mission is to help our students maintain their best spiritual lives in order to become strong servant leaders in their communities and chosen careers.

Our parents and guardians appreciate:

  • Our outstanding commitment to spiritual development with Chapel Services three days a week that center on an engaging theme, as well as global Christian service opportunities that allow students to serve in the local community and on mission trips in the US and abroad.
  • Our stellar commitment to guidance through our Counseling Department. Our team will help your children with course selection, future planning, college application assistance, personal and spiritual development, and emotional support.
  • Our dedication to future preparation with our Career Opportunity Program that allows your children to explore their potential career fields with on-site visits, so they can receive a real-world perspective.

A Christian education is a foundation for our students to follow as they continue along their paths toward life, leadership, and development of integrity and a high moral compass, as they incorporate their faith in all aspects of their adult lives.

Indiana College Core
Do you want to get a head start on college? The Indiana College Core allows high
school students to earn 30 general education credits that can be transferred as a
block to any public college or university in Indiana, as well as some private
institutions. In other words, students who earn the College Core in high school may
already be finished with their first year of college at a fraction of the cost. To learn
more about the Indiana College Core and put together your plan, use My College
Core (mycollegecore.org) and work closely with your school counselor.
What is FAFSA?
The Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the most important
document for determining if you’re eligible for financial aid — money to help you pay
for education and training beyond high school. The easiest way to file the FAFSA is
online at FAFSA.gov.
After you file your FAFSA, your college will be able to tell you which scholarships
and grants you could receive as well as how much money you can borrow in federal
loans. To find out more about the FAFSA, including what kinds of state financial aid
is available, check out Learn More Indiana’s FAFSA guide for Hoosiers.
