The overall goal of Christian education at Illiana Christian High School (ICHS) is to prepare students to be effective servants of Christ in contemporary society. ICHS is committed to the use of technology to meet this goal.
By teaming the power of technology with the knowledge of skillful teachers, we create an optimal environment for learning. The widespread presence of learning technology will continue to redefine the concepts of “school”, “student”, “teacher”, and “learning”. We want students to continue to grow in their knowledge of current learning technology, and learn how to use it wisely and with discernment.
The goal of the 1:1 Technology Program is to provide a Chromebook to all students to use as one of their primary learning tools. Every student beginning with the class of 2019 will receive a Chromebook to use throughout the school year. All current students have also been given access to their own Illiana Google accounts. By using Chromebooks, Illiana students can have a valuable resource for at-home research and learning. The technology program also enables teachers to use online tools or resources for their curriculum. From new presentation capabilities to designing a newspaper to having the world’s largest database, these Chromebooks have been one of the biggest tools in promoting quality education at Illiana Christian High School. This focus on and attention to learning technology makes Illiana one of the best high schools in Northwest Indiana.
